About African Researchers (AR) Magazine

African Researchers Magazine (ISSN: 2714-2787) is a non-profit scholarly publication dedicated to facilitating effective communication and dissemination of African research. Our primary objective is to promote and highlight African research findings, ensuring their accessibility to a broad range of end-users, including governments, policymakers, practitioners, professionals, academics, business people, NGOs, and the general public across Africa, as well as African researchers and scholars in the diaspora. By doing so, we aim to influence decision-making processes for the greater good of the continent and help make African research noticeable and acknowledged by the international community, while also enabling global audiences to learn about the challenges, developments, innovations, and accomplishments of African researchers and scholars at home and in the diaspora.

AR Mission Statement:
Our mission is to translate African research findings into a comprehensive and user-friendly resource that effectively addresses the actual needs of people at home and in the diaspora.

AR Problem Statement:
The current utilization of African research findings is a matter of pressing concern. To a large extent, these findings are predominantly appreciated and consumed within the academic and research community, while their potential impact on government agencies, policymakers, practitioners, professionals, business people, NGOs, and the general population remains under-realized. Instead of relying on African research outcomes, the continent has developed a reliance on foreign research, and globally, African research efforts are often disregarded as inferior and lacking value. The communication and applicability of African research findings in addressing the continent’s problems, as well as those of its people, are insufficient. African research is commonly known only for its presence in scholarly publications as mere literary citations. Addressing this unfortunate trend requires collaborative efforts from all stakeholders.

The African Researchers Magazine (ARM) is an authoritative international open-access magazine that publishes monthly, peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary academic research findings. Our aim is to accelerate the dissemination of African research by sharing the latest news, profiling African researchers, and showcasing their innovative works to the international community. The magazine publishes peer-reviewed materials, including Research, Reviews, Short Reports, Case Studies, Letters to the Editor, Editorials, Focus, Perspectives, and Commentaries, as well as non-peer-reviewed content, such as News, Stories, and Interviews.
