AR index The objective of the UNLJ is to publish high-quality legal journals on emerging issues, which are valuable to legal practitioners and present a pool of knowledge for learners, to foster the growth of legal research and writing skills amongst academics and learners and to create a platform through which scholars can air their views on current legal issues. The mission of the UNLJ shall be to promote legal discourse by way of promoting legal research and writing and enhance access to exceptional, cutting edge nuanced, and peer-reviewed texts with a focus on the Kenyan jurisdiction. The University of Nairobi Law Journal’s publication is designed to contribute greatly to the understanding of various aspects of the legal framework by emphasizing extensive assessments of the legal system. The main focus of the journal includes upcoming legal issues and contemporary legal concerns. The contributors, who are the authors, are primarily drawn from the general public.   • Submission Guidelines: Format The manuscript files should be submitted electronically in any of the following formats (.doc) or (.docx) and should not be protected or locked.  Font: Times New Roman  Font size for main text: Font 12  Font size for footnotes: Font 10  Line spacing for main text: 1.5  Line spacing for footnotes: Single spacing  Alignment for main text: Justified text  Alignment for footnotes: Left aligned  Margins: 1 inch or 2cm on each side  Page numbers: Centre-bottom Length Length for the entire manuscript: 4,000 – 10,000 words This includes figures, footnotes and but this limitation is exclusive of references.
