The Journal of Earth and Atmospheric Research (JEAR) is the official scientific publication of the School of Earth and Mineral Sciences (SEMS), The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Nigeria.
It is a bi-annual and a peer-reviewed international journal that publishes articles in subjects related to earth, atmospheric and ocean sciences; namely geosciences (geology, geophysics, hydrogeology,geochemistry, palaeontology,sedimentology, structural geology,geodynamics, engineering geology,mining, mineral sciences, etc.), meteorology and climate sciences, atmospheric science, ecology, environmental pollution studies and management, satellite systems, satellite applications to meteorology and applied sciences, space science and engineering, marine and coastal oceanography (physical, geological, chemical, biological), coastal engineering, remote sensing and geospatial information systems, etc.

Submission Guidelines: Manuscripts must be written in English (American or British spelling but consistent throughout), double-spaced in Times New Roman with font size 12 and page numbered.
Do not format text in multiple columns.
Limit manuscript sections and sub-sections to 3 heading levels. Make sure heading levels are indicated in the manuscript text.
• Avoid footnotes. If your manuscript contains footnotes, move the information into the main text or the reference list, depending on the content.
• Define abbreviations upon first appearance in the text. Do not use non-standard abbreviations unless they appear at least three times in the text. Keep abbreviations to a minimum.
• Headings and sub-headings in the sections should be distinguished by the use of appropriate font sizes. Generally, there should not be more than three categories of heading. Hence, sub-headings should not exceed the second level. Sections and subsections should not be numbered.
